Two thrilling works by the Russian master Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky light up this program: his Violin Concerto and Symphony No. 5, both performed by the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Music Director Michael Butterman. Violin soloist will be Linda Wang, a local treasure on the faculty of the University of Denver who has performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the stages of Europe! The evening opens with a performance by the Playground, the new music ensemble at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music.
There is ample free parking, and your choice of reserved, covered seating or lawn seating. Bring your own picnic to enjoy on the grounds, or take advantage of the full concessions! Lawn chairs are not permitted, and alcohol may be purchased on-site but not brought in.
