The Boulder Philharmonic believes that live orchestral music is for everyone and is committed to providing a wide array of opportunities for people throughout our community to encounter the life-enriching power of classical music.
Our Education and Engagement Programming brings new and diverse musical experiences to more
than 10,000 people from across Boulder County and beyond. Our robust educational programs continue to connect, inspire and enrich people of all ages through music. Boulder Phil is grateful for the generous support of individuals, organizations and communities that makes these programs possible.
The Boulder Phil takes students in grades 3-6 on a journey to explore orchestral music in a themed, exciting and interactive program led by Music Director, Michael Butterman!
The Boulder Philharmonic, in partnership with Integral Steps (early education and Dalcroze Eurhythmics specialists) and Boulder County Head Start (preschool program for low-income families), has created an interactive introduction for preschoolers to the world of orchestral music.
The Boulder Phil and the Boulder County Audubon Society partner to connect community members with the natural world through music, as Interpretive Naturalist Dave Sutherland leads music-themed hikes in Boulder’s beautiful outdoor spaces.
Music for Our Friends
Our newest program in partnership with music therapist Bonnie Houpt from Rhythmic Roots Music Services. “Music for Our Friends” is a heartfelt collaboration aimed at creating beautiful melodies with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities..
